I was reading a story about Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, the lone survivor of Operation Red Wing in 2005. After his ordeal and subsequent recovery, he was given a dog to aid in his convalescence. On April 1, 2009, 4 thug douchebag pieces of garbage were joyriding and decided, "what the hell-let's kill this dog." They did just that.
Marcus grabbed 2 pistols and chased these pieces of shit through 4 counties before Texas Rangers apprehended them.
Guess what?
They began verbally taunting Luttrell, threatening to kill him too, even after being arrested and in handcuffs.
Wow, what a bunch of strokes.
Alfonso Hernandez was charged with Cruelty to Animals and faces 2 years in prison (as of the time of this article), another numbnuts, Michael Edmonds, turned himself in soon after a story aired on Glenn Beck's Fox news show. The other 2 "Mensa members" were not charged.

There is a lesson for us in this- people like this exist everywhere, and although this came to light because of who the victim was, incidents like this happen all over the place. That is pretty twisted stuff, but that's just how things are. Until we can change the heart of a person, we must be prepared to deal with the dark side of human nature.
